The High Altitude Liquid Engine team comes back with another amazing display of engineering skill. After multiple cold flow tests and wet dress rehearsals, the team gained the confidence to perform a test fire of their Mira 2 engine, mounted on their Cetus flight vehicle.
On May 10th, 2026, the team was GO for static fire. The engine successfully ignited and ran for the planned 6 second test duration, demonstrating HALE’s ability to not only get a rocket on the pad, but to safely meet all test criteria and have fun in the process.
HALE doesn’t sleep. With static fire 1 complete, the team is preparing for their second static fire with upgraded avionics and vehicle systems on June 6th, 2026.
Stay tuned to their social media for updates!
